Mecca Are Modernising Bingo

Bingo games imageWow, it looks as if online bingo, well a form of it in disguise is hitting Mecca bingo halls.

Mecca bingo are introducing tablet devices, apparently this requires less concentration than the traditional game meaning that players can eat, drink and chat while playing. It is thought that electronic bingo will appeal to the younger generation during a night out. The company have been trialling the idea at its venue in Reading.

It is hoped that the electronic game will appeal to more males as electronic gaming appeals to those under 35 and apparently they have even had men in their mid-20s playing bingo on the portable tablets.

Playing on tablet is very similar to playing it on the internet except it’s done in a community setting. Of course this may be an attraction to those that like to play online bingo but like the social aspect of going out.

Of course it may also have the effect of showing those techno phoebes among us that online bingo is easy. It is thought that introducing electronic bingo play into the venues in cities across the country will increase online play and I would presume revenue for the company.
